About Angelia Pelham

about-angelia-pelham-doorsAngelia is a Florida native, born in Pensacola, FL as the eighth of nine children. Angelia grew up in an impoverished community living in a mobile home most of her childhood.

As a high school student, Angelia realized the necessity of hard work academically to break away from the economic hardship that she’d faced growing up. She graduated from high school with an almost 4.0 GPA and exercised her gifting in oration to win several scholarships which funded her college education.

Angelia attended the Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, FL where she graduated with a BS in Communication and later earned a Masters of Arts in Human Resources Management from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

Angelia has been blessed to have built an incredible career in Human Resources management for the last 34 years working as a senior executive at such companies as Walt Disney World, PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Yum Brands, Main Event, and more. She is currently a small business owner with an office in Frisco offering human capital consulting, executive coaching, and leadership development to corporations in multiple industries.


Angelia is a current board member of two private-equity backed portfolio companies of Great Point Partners (GPP) based out of Greenwich, CT. She is also a volunteer board member of Medical City Plano & Frisco based in Plano and Frisco, TX respectively.  Angelia is a teen ministry teacher at her church where her husband pastors. Angelia previously served on the board of Hope’s Door New Beginnings, a non-profit for victims of domestic abuse, for two years.

Angelia is the founder and chair of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr oration competition for the last 14 years; this non-profit has awarded over $80K in scholarships to over 70 students in the Frisco Independent School District.

Angelia is married to her college sweetheart, Senior Pastor Dono W. Pelham, the senior founding pastor of Life-Changing Faith Christian Fellowship in downtown Frisco in the renovated building of the Abbey restaurant.  The Pelhams have been married for almost 34 years and have one daughter, Ashley Juliana, who is a junior at Columbia University in NY with plans to attend law school in the fall of 2025.
